YABUUCHI Satoshi
a sculptor, a professor at the Conservation Division, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, born in Osaka in 1953.

By the competent technique based on the experience and the knowledge of the Buddhist image conservation, Yabuuchi expresses a Buddhism outlook on the world and Oriental nature-views by his unique forming beauty in the wood carving works. The work that draws a humor and sharp wit in the peculiar world has a lot of fans in all over the world.


NAKAZATO Takashi
a leading ceramic artist who represents Karatsu earthenware. Born in Karatsy, Saga in 1937 as the fifth son of Muan Nakasato (the 12th Tarouemon Nakazato).

As succeeding the tradition, Nakazato has kept trying the development of a new Karatsu earthenware like the Karatsu Nanban. Because he is well versed in the gastronomic culture, Nakazato produces easy-to-use tableware which also set off the cooking. His works have a wide fan in not only the country but also the world.


14th Nakazato Tarouemon
Born in 1957 as a son of the eldest 13th Nakazato Tarouemon. Graduated from Musashino Art University, the graduate school in 1981. A ceramic artist who represents the present Karatsu ware art.


NAKAZATO Taki
Born in Karatsu, Saga in 1965, started learning the ceramic art from NAKAZATO Takashi in 1988.

Five times of solo exhibition in Gallery Ichibankan (Fukuoka) since 2000. Newly designed a climbing kiln in 2006.


NAKAZATO Hanako
Born in Tanegashima, Kagoshima in 1972, grown up in Karatsu, Saga. Graduated from SMITH COLLEGE in US in 1996, returned to Karatsu in 1997 to start learning the ceramic art from her father, NAKAZATO Takashi.

Studied the ceramic art in Europe, US, as well as in Karatsu, also has taught in Harvard University. Many solo exhibitions held in Japan and US.


TAKESUE Hiomi
Born in Nagasaki in 1955. He has excavated the old kiln sites in Mishima and others to investe the ceramic art of Joseon Dynasty since 1989. He became a Shinto priest in TSUSHIMANOKUNI Shurine in 1990, found a climbing kiln in Tsushima Oura, in 1994.

Many solo exhibitions held in Japan since 1996.


ENDO Katsura
Born in Hakone, Kanagawa in 1958, graduated from Tokyo Polytechnic University in 1978. A photograper who has kept taken a photograph of Mt. Fuji along with working as an advertising photographer.


KATSUTA Emi
Born in Nagasaki in 1983, graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music in 2007, completed MA course of Tokyo University of the Arts in 2009. Many award winnings and exhibitions.


SAKAKIYAMA Takayo
Born in Aichi in 1981, graduated from Bachelo's degree in Japanese Painting Cours, Department of Fine arts, Tama Art University. In 2007, completed Doctor degree in Japanese Painting, Tama Art University graduate school.

Many exhibitions since the first solo exhibition at Omotesando Hills, Gallery80 in 2009, as well as appearances on TV program.
